Nicola Gayle
Director
Since Nickie has had two children of her own and a passion for children, she decided to re-train with Ofsted, going from Ofsted registered childminder to opening a pre-school to further her passion.
Nickie worked in the city of London doing accounts for Magic Circle law firms until her mum was taken poorly with cancer, which left her without childcare.
Nickie went on to turn her whole life around to study childcare and be able to provide parents with childcare that Nickie would have liked for her own children.
Since being an Ofsted registered childminder she has decided to open facilities to look after and help families in her preschool.
Gerri Kearney
Pre-School Manager
Hi, my name is Gerri. I’ve worked within the childcare sector for a period of 23 years. During this time, I have worked in various roles, gaining qualifications along the way. I am a fully qualified nursery nurse and childcare manager, and more recently qualified in Level 5 Health, Social Care & Children and Young Peoples Services England (2020).
I have a background of supporting children and staff with SEND and Inclusion.
I am a firm believer in inclusivity and community and this is exactly what we aim to build at Nickie's Nippers Pre-school.
A home from home where everyone is welcomed and valued.
I am a proud mummy of two wonderful boys aged 4 and 12. I love nothing more than spending quality time with my family making new memories.
Nickie's Nippers Pre-School testimonial
"My kids have been with Nickie for nearly two years now, she is totally at home with her. How she keeps them entertained with trips out and activities. Her dinners are great, proper home cooked food (some days I wish she'd fed me!) My kids are very happy, although my eldest has left for secondary school and no longer goes regularly, he is still welcomed into her home and feels comfortable to go to her on occasions if needed. Overall I am really happy with Nickie caring for my children and hope to stay with her for the rest of my daughters primary school years."
